Small Pond Records is a Brighton based, multidisciplinary music company with their home at Small Pond Studios in Brighton. This year they have produced and released their fourth edition in their 'Emerging' project, funded by Arts Council England. The project aims to give young artists (16-25 year olds) the chance to produce their own musical work with mentorship from leading music professionals. The projects features the incredible talent of solo artists and bands that contribute towards the compilation album.
November 15th marked the release of this latest project on all digital streaming platforms, as well as releasing a limited edition vinyl across 4 sides. The visually captivating and vibrant artwork was produced by Madalaine Jarvis, who goes by babyy_madss from the band Jar Of Blind Flies. The vinyl is available to purchase to purchase from Small Pond here. Or you can head over to Crimson’s shop for very limited copies saved for the fans.
To celebrate the occasion, Small Pond held a launch party of the album at Green Door Store the next day in Brighton. Which showcased a few of the outstanding artists such as Could Be Ghosts, Fuzztazer and Modessa. Alongside a workshop with Naomi Bressani from the Republic Of Music that delved into release and distribution for artists of today.
We thought Crimson brought a refreshing energy to the compilation. Known for their innovative approach to sound, the band combines raw emotion with polished production, reflecting the ethos of the Small Pond Emerging initiative. This program, aimed at young artists, provides invaluable mentorship, studio access, and a platform for creative growth. The inclusion of Crimson exemplifies the project’s success in nurturing unique and compelling voices in the indie and alternative music scenes.
